About Me

My name is Fiona and I am a pre-accredited Psychotherapist and Art Therapist, registered with IACP. I am based in Ashford, Co. Wicklow and I work with clients both in person and online.

I know that coming to therapy can feel unfamiliar, and sometimes a little daunting, so I try to create a space where you can settle in, take your time and be yourself.

I have always been curious about people, in the stories we carry, and in the different ways we make sense of our experiences.  I have always been drawn to understanding people and supporting them as they explore and make sense of their emotions and experiences.

Creativity is also an important part of who I am, which is what led me towards art therapy as well as talking therapy. I like being able to offer both, because not everything is easy to put into words.

The things that are important to me in my work with clients is that they don't feel judged, they have a safe space to say the hard  and real things they are experiencing, and I really hope that I can can support my clients to make things a little bit easier when things are feeling hard.

My Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is person-centred and integrative. This means I do not use a one-size-fits-all way of working. I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you, while keeping the relationship at the heart of the work.

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected and able to be yourself. We can talk, reflect and explore things at your own pace, and where it feels helpful, we can also use art therapy as another way of expressing or understanding what may be difficult to put into words.
